    There was such an opinion.
    "The bath must be bigger!"
In fact, in the winter of 2019, Nasu Animal Kingdom changed the capybara bathtub to a large one.
However, this spacious bathtub doesn't seem to be popular with capybaras.
Large, large spaces are comfortable for humans, but may not always be comfortable for other animals.
A denser one may be safer and more comfortable for Capybara.

This also applies to ants!! A lot of animals feel safer/do better in smaller places!! Our duty is to be well informed about it and see what is better for each animal!!

Unlikely to be Christmas - too much snow unless it's Hokkaido.
In winter, strawberries must be flown in from the southern hemisphere, so I would think it is some point in January. . don't think there is anything particularly special about the strawberries - they aren't that expensive in Japan. They favour enormous ones however, not realising that smaller ones normally have more flavour.

Capybaras are originally indigenous from Brasil, right? I mean, the name itself, 'capivara', comes from Tupi which is one of our original indiginous languages before colonization. Brasil and Japan actually have a long history of foreigner-living within each other, Brasil having the biggest oncentration of Japanese people outside Japan. I'd just like to know who was the absolute madlad who went back to Japan from Brasil and thought 'hey, I'll take a couple of those huge samurai hamsters with me' lol

I think it is unusual for capybaras in the zoo to eat strawberries.
In this video, “Ume” eats strawberries, which is the first time in the Nasu Animal Kingdom.
One year later, in February 2020, "Ume" and her son "Kobu" ate strawberries.
Although other capybaras do not yet try to eat strawberries.
